On the left a Polstar gps mouse it measures 4cm x 4cm, it's weather proof and has a magnetic base that keeps it on your car. It supports nmea0183 v2.2 and works on all the APRS Kenwood models TM-D700. TM-D710, TH-D7 (apart from some early D7's). It will work off a 5V supply (I used a 7805 regulator IC), and it gives a serial output (RS232) easily feed into a kenwood.

On the right is a GlobalSat gps mouse. Power requirements, pin configuration and what radios it will work on is the same as the Polstar, although I have come across variants with different plugs so please check before connecting. Its also weather proof and has a magnetic base just like the Polstar.

Parts used:	GPS mouse 7805 regulator PS2 socket (to plug gps into) 2 x 0.1uf ceramic capacitors 470uF electrolitic capactor 2.5 Stereo jack socket. fuse holder & 250ma or 500ma fuse
This worked for me, but I have come across variants in plugs and wiring so please check.
